Dutch Oven: Fudge Pudding Cake
Items Needed:
| 2 cups | Bisquik |
| 2 cups | sugar |
| 1 cup | unsweetened cocoa powder (NOT Nestles Quik!) |
| 1 cup | milk |
| 2 tsp | vanilla |
| 1 Tbsp | cooking oil |
| 12" | Dutch Oven (serves 10-12) |
| 24 | briquettes (9 bottom/15 top) |
| cook for 30 minutes | |
| 2 gallon-sized mixing bags, and pot for heating water also needed | |
- Heat 3-1/3 cups hot water in a pot. Keep hot while preparing other ingredients.
- Pre-mix in one bag (labled "cake") 2 cups Bisquik, 1 cup sugar and 1/3 cup cocoa.
- Pre-mix in second bag (labled "pudding") 1 cup sugar and 2/3 cup cocoa.
- Spread oil on inside of oven, and place oven on 9 hot briquettes.
- Add milk and vanilla to mixing bag labeled "cake", mix contents into batter, and pour batter evenly over bottom of oven.
- Sprinkle contents of bag labeled "pudding" evenly over cake batter, then gently pour hot water over pudding powder.
- Cover oven with lid, place 15 hot briquettes on lid, and bake 20 minutes, or until top is firm.
