Dutch Oven: Hot Fudge Pudding Cake
Items Needed:
| Pre-mix the following ingredients in one bag labeled "cake": | |
| 2 cups | Bisquik or equivalent |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 6 Tbs | Hershey's unsweetened cocoa powder (NOT Quik!) |
| Pre-mix these ingredients in a second bag labeled "pudding": | |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 2/3 cup | unsweetened cocoa |
| These ingredients are also needed: | |
| Spray oil | |
| 1 cup | milk |
| 2 tsp | vanilla |
| 3-1/3 cups | hot water |
| Dutch Oven (serves 8-12) | |
| briquettes (8 bottom/16 top) | |
| cook for 20 minutes | |
| Two mixing bags and a serving spoon are needed. | |
- Prepare hot coals and hot water well in advance. Start mixing the pudding batter about 30 minutes before serving.
- Spray-oil the Dutch oven.
- Mix vanilla and milk together, pour mixture into "cake" bag, mix into batter, and spread batter evenly over bottom of oven.
- Sprinkle "pudding" bag evenly over cake batter, and gently pour hot water over the pudding powder.
- Put the oven on top of 8 coals. Place lid on oven, put another 16 hot briquettes on top, and bake for 20 minutes, or until top is firm.
